The Bouillons mill

Listed as Cultural Heritage (“Historic Monument”), this mill is built on a Gallo-Roman site. One of the oldest olive oil mills in the Mediterranean basin is preserved intact, with all its constituent elements, including a monumental press: a whole oak 10 meters long and weighing 7 tonnes.

This “blood” mill presents everything related to olive oil, a Mediterranean symbol, and its various uses over time (lighting, body care, history of Marseille soap, etc.), as well as multi-millennial technique of its manufacture.
